For ‘Arch Of Motion’, Stockholm’s Linnéa Talp uses various church organs and a Buchla modular system to develop eight pieces, each one inspired by “slow and simple movements”. When you tune into the microtonal vibrations of ‘Mending (Light Pressure)’ and ‘To Whom’, you’re ushered into a meditative flow state similar to that offered by Pauline Oliveros’ ‘Deep Listening’. Christer Bothén’s clarinet on the sparse ‘The Continuation’ provides additional richness to Talp’s euphoric drones, concluding an album of calming, beatific oscillations. MS
