Micachu And The Shapes gave you confrontational individuality when you needed it most. But how would things sound with a new name and a rotated line-up that finds Mica Levi swapping vocal duties with Raisa Khan? Well, Khan’s earnestness in lyric and voice gives a bit less tooth than before (love songs actually sound a bit like love songs now), but their blissfully weird lo-fi electronic indie still bites amusingly into the idiosyncrasies of language and modern life. Try opener ‘Do It’ and ‘Pyro’. They could give a grey day some colour.
